The 2025 Understanding China Conference is being held from November 30 to December 2 in Guangzhou.

During the forum, Romano Prodi, Former Prime Minister of Italy, told SFC reporter that in a world undergoing unprecedented and rapidly evolving changes, countries must return to dialogue and negotiation — “the only tool we must insist on today.” He called for advancing cooperation through specific issues, from student exchanges and philanthropy to essential political conversations, noting that China is among the key new players shaping the global landscape.
